Chardham Yatra holds great significance as a revered pilgrimage destination in India, believed to be one of the paths Hindus can take to achieve spiritual liberation and salvation. It involves a journey to four holy places in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, North India: Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, which are the Chardham Yatra Places.

DAY 01: From Mumbai to Arrival at Dehradun
Departure and Return Location:- Dehradun (Uttarakhand, India)
Your chardham yatra will begin from Dehradun. After reaching Dehradun, our representatives will be available to receive you from the Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand. You will head towards the pre-booked accommodation for a complimentary night’s stay at Dehradun. Reaching the hotel from the Dehradun airport will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
*Please note that Leisure India Holidays must have your arrival information one week before your scheduled arrival to organize a seamless pick-up.*
Furthermore, passengers should aim to be in Dehradun by 4:00 p.m. or sooner to begin their Chardham tour.
During the evening, our team will inform the yatris about the tour and provide them with duffel bags for packing only the essentials — (Only two to five kilograms per person is permissible in duffel bags). Travellers must keep all their essentials in their duffel bags as bringing their suitcases or trolleys onto the helicopters is not allowed. Therefore, bring just the essential products during the Chardham Yatra helicopter tour.
DAY 02: Yamunotri by Helicopter
(Transfer: Dehradun Helipad – Sahastradhara to Kharsali – Yamunotri Helipad)
05:00 AM: Check-out from Dehradun Hotel.
06:00 am: Departure from Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun (By Helicopter) to Kharsali (Yamunotri Helipad).
06:30 am: Arrival at Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri.
The auspicious Chardham Yatra will commence from the Dehradun helipad. Travellers must check out from their Dehradun hotels sharp at 05.00 am. Following that, our representatives will transport them to the Sahastradhara Helipad base. Our ground personnel would greet the travellers. The personnel will assist the travellers in settling into the waiting lounge, where they will get their Pre-Flight instructions.
Then, they will board and fly to Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri Dham, by 06:00 am. After arriving at Kharsali at approximately 06.30 am, travellers will check into their accommodation before starting the Yamunotri Dham journey. The approximate round-trip time for Yamunotri Darshan will be 5 hours and 30 minutes. The Yamunotri Dham has a 6-kilometer trek. So travellers will cover this 6-kilometre trek via pony or palki, as per the availability.
If operational, travellers may go for additional sightseeing.
DAY 03: Gangotri by Helicopter
(Transfer: Yamunotri Helipad – Kharsali to Harshil – Gangotri Helipad)
05:30 am: Check-out from Hotel
06:30 am: Departure from Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri (By Helicopter).
07:00 AM: Arrival Harsil Helipad, Gangotri.
On Day 3, yatris will fly from Kharsali Helipad towards Gangotri Dham via Harsil Helipad. At 5:30 am, the travellers will check out from their hotels, and they will board the helicopter at 6:30 a.m. and arrive at the Harsil Helipad approximately at 7.00 a.m. Harsil is the tour’s most picturesque and lovely halt, the second Dham, well noted for its enormous apple orchards.
So, based on the temple rush, the travellers will visit the temple after breakfast or lunch. The approximate round-trip time for Gangotri Darshan will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The road to the Gangotri temple is around 25 kilometres or approximately a 50-minute drive. Harshil offers a variety of sites and natural trails for exploration.
DAY 04: Kedarnath by Helicopter
(Transfer: Gangotri Helipad – Harshil to Sersi / Guptakashi / Phata – Kedarnath)
06:00 am: Check-out from Hotel.
07:00 am: Departure Harsil Helipad, Gangotri (By Helicopter).
07:30 am: Arrival at Kedarnath (Sersi / Phata / Guptakashi Base Camp).
On the fourth day, travellers will proceed toward Kedarnath Dham. So travellers must check out from their hotels by 6.00 am. After reaching the Harsil helipad, they will fly towards Kedarnath Dham. They will arrive at these helipads in Kedarnath – Sirsi / Guptkashi / Phata. After breakfast, travellers will proceed to the Kedarnath Darshan. The approximate duration of the Kedarnath Temple Darshan is 2 hours.
The shuttle trip from Sersi to Kedarnath temple takes around seven minutes.
DAY 05: Badrinath by Helicopter
(Transfer: Kedarnath Helipad – Sersi / Guptakasi / Phata to Badrinath)
07:00 am: Check-out from Hotel.
08:00 am: Departure Kedarnath Helipad (Sersi / Phata / Guptakashi By Helicopter).
08:30 AM: Arrival Badrinath Helipad.
Travellers will have breakfast and check out from the hotel sharp at 7.00 am to board the helicopter to reach Badrinath Dham. At 8:00 am, they will board the helicopter to Badrinath Dham. So by 8.30 am, travellers will reach the Badrinath Dham. After lunch, travellers will reach the temple via car.
If operational, travellers may visit the Mana Village – the ‘Last village of India,’ attributing to its vicinity to the China border.
DAY 06: Return to Dehradun
(Transfer: Badrinath Helipad – Badrinath to Sahastradhara – Dehradun Helipad)
07:00 am: Check-out from Hotel.
08:00 am: Departure Badrinath.
08:30 Aam: Arrival Dehradun.
Starting at 7.00 am, travellers will check out from their Badrinath Dham accommodation following breakfast and make their way towards Dehradun. Observe the gorgeous view of the Region, particularly the picturesque vista of the confluences; that’s a beauty worth looking for for nature enthusiasts.
So, the travellers will reach the Sahastradhara (Dehradun Helipad) at 9.00 am. The LIH representatives would be there to receive them. The travellers will proceed toward the hotel to collect their luggage and then be dropped off at the airport/railway station/bus stand. After that, you will have to go to Mumbai at your own expense.
*We strongly urge our travellers to have one or two more days handy, in addition to the 5-night, 6-day timeframe, to prevent inconvenience if they get delayed at any location due to adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Here are Some pointers to book a Helicopter for Chardham Yatra:-
According to the aviation department, only 6 people can sit in a helicopter, and the maximum weight of each passenger should be 72 kg; your weight will be measured before the take-off, and if we find more than the standard weight, you can be prevented from boarding the helicopter, in that case, you can contact us and get advice.Also, the maximum capacity of a helicopter is 430 kg, which does not include passenger baggage, and a passenger can carry only 5 kg maximum weight with him.
Any type of flying is challenging in mountainous areas, sometimes in case of bad weather, busy air traffic, and passenger illness, the helicopter may be delayed or other unforeseen events may also occur, so passengers should be prepared for any such situation. Although adequate safety gear is provided by the crew, the passengers will have to keep their preparations complete.
For all the services contracted, a certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before your departure from your country or after your arrival to India as mutually decided between team management and guests. Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service.
