DAY 01: Arrival at Dehradun

Departure and Return Location:- Dehradun (Uttarakhand, India)

After reaching Dehradun, our representatives will be available to receive you from the Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand. You will be heading towards the pre-booked accommodation for a complimentary night’s stay at Dehradun. It will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the hotel from the Dehradun airport.

*Please note that Leisure India Holidays must have your arrival information one week before your scheduled arrival to organize a seamless pick-up.

Furthermore, passengers should aim to be in Dehradun by 4:00 pm or sooner to begin their Chardham tour.

During the evening, our team will inform the yatris about the tour and provide them with duffel bags for packing only the essentials — (Only two to five kilograms per person is permissible in duffel bags). Travellers must keep all their essentials in their duffel bags as bringing their suitcases or trolleys onto the helicopters is not allowed. Therefore, bring just the essential products during the Chardham Yatra helicopter tour.

DAY 02: Yamunotri Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Dehradun Helipad – Sahastradhara to Kharsali – Yamunotri Helipad)

Timings

05:00 AM: Check-out from Dehradun Hotel.

06:00 AM: Departure from Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun (By Helicopter) to Kharsali (Yamunotri Helipad).

06:30 AM: Arrival at Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri.

The auspicious Chardham Yatra will commence from the Dehradun helipad. Travellers must check out from their Dehradun hotels sharp at 05.00 am. Following that, our representatives will transport them to the Sahastradhara Helipad base. Our ground personnel would greet the travellers. The personnel will assist the travellers in settling into the waiting lounge, where they will get their Pre-Flight instructions.

Then, they will board and fly to Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri Dham by 06.00 am. After arriving at Kharsali at approximately 06.30 am, travellers will check into their accommodation before starting the Yamunotri Dham journey. The approximate round-trip time for Yamunotri Darshan will be 5 hours and 30 minutes. The Yamunotri Dham has a 6-kilometer trek. So travellers will cover this 6-kilometre trek via pony or palki, as per the availability.

If operational, travellers may go for additional sightseeing.

DAY 03: Gangotri Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Yamunotri Helipad – Kharsali to Harshil – Gangotri Helipad)

Timings

05:30 AM: Check-out from Hotel

06:30 AM: Departure from Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri (By Helicopter).

07:00 AM: Arrival Harsil Helipad, Gangotri.

On Day 3, yatris will fly from Kharsali Helipad towards Gangotri Dham via Harsil Helipad. At 5.30 am, the travellers will check out from their hotels, and they will board the helicopter at 6.30 am and arrive at the Harsil Helipad approximately at 7.00 am. Harsil is the tour’s most picturesque and lovely halt, the second Dham, well noted for its enormous apple orchards.

So based on the temple rush, the travellers will visit the temple after breakfast or lunch. The approximate round-trip time for Gangotri Darshan will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The road to the Gangotri temple is around 25 kilometres or approximately a 50 minutes drive. Harshil offers a variety of sites and natural trails for exploration.

DAY 04: Kedarnath Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Gangotri Helipad – Harshil to Sersi / Guptakashi / Phata – Kedarnath)

Timings

06:00 AM: Check-out from Hotel.

07:00 AM: Departure Harsil Helipad, Gangotri (By Helicopter).

07:30 AM: Arrival at Kedarnath (Sersi / Phata / Guptakashi Base Camp).

On the fourth day, travellers will proceed toward Kedarnath Dham. So travellers must check out from their hotels by 6.00 am. After reaching the Harsil helipad, they will fly towards Kedarnath Dham. They will arrive at these helipads in Kedarnath – Sirsi / Guptkashi / Phata. After breakfast, travellers will proceed to the Kedarnath Darshan. The approximate duration of the Kedarnath Temple Darshan is 2 hours.

The shuttle trip from Sersi to Kedarnath temple takes around seven minutes.

DAY 05: Badrinath Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Kedarnath Helipad – Sersi / Guptakasi / Phata to Badrinath)

Timings

07:00 AM: Check-out from Hotel.

08:00 AM: Departure Kedarnath Helipad (Sersi / Phata / Guptakashi By Helicopter).

08:30 AM: Arrival Badrinath Helipad.

Travellers will have breakfast and check out from the hotel sharp at 7.00 am to board the helicopter to reach Badrinath Dham. At 8.00 am, they will board the helicopter to Badrinath Dham. So by 8.30 am, travellers will reach the Badrinath Dham. After lunch, travellers will reach the temple via car.

If operational, travellers may visit the Mana Village – the ‘Last village of India,’ attributing to its vicinity to the China border.

DAY 06: Return to Dehradun

(Transfer: Badrinath Helipad – Badrinath to Sahastradhara – Dehradun Helipad)

Timings

07:00 AM: Check-out from Hotel.

08:00 AM: Departure Badrinath.

08:30 AM: Arrival Dehradun.

Starting at 7.00 am, travellers will check out from their Badrinath Dham accommodation following breakfast and make their way towards Dehradun. Observe the gorgeous view of the Region, particularly the picturesque vista of the confluences; that’s a beauty worth looking for. For nature enthusiasts.

So, the travellers will reach the Sahastradhara (Dehradun Helipad) at 9.00 am. The LIH representatives would be there to receive them. The travellers will proceed toward the hotel to collect their luggage and then be dropped off at the airport/railway station/bus stand.

*We strongly urge our travellers to have one or two more days handy, in addition to the 5-night, 6-day timeframe, to prevent inconvenience if they get delayed at any location due to adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances.

*All times and schedules mentioned above are tentative in order to understand Chardham’s flying routine. It can be rescheduled as per conditions prevailing at the time of flying.

Yes, registration is required for Chardham yatra.

The price of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter package is Rs. 1,85,000/- + GST per person for all 4 dhams from Dehradun. This 6-day, 5-night package includes meals, hotels, transfers, and sightseeing.

You need to deposit 50% advance token amount at the package booking time and the rest of the amount you can pay 21 days prior to your Yatra.
The helicopter does not provide concessions to children or senior citizens for Chardham Yatra.

The pilgrims don’t require any e-pass since the state government has removed the condition to secure e-passes for the Char Dham yatra.

No, there is no Age limit in the Chardham yatra, but the preferred age is 7-65 years.
For disabled yatris, a wheelchair will be provided at all the dhams, but there is moderate walk at a few points where a wheelchair will not be accessible.

You will be served meals twice a day at the hotel, lunch at 12:00 PM and dinner at 7:00 PM.

Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Gangotri temples have a very meager distance from the helicopter drop point, which can easily cover in 10-15 minutes; only Yamunotri Dham has 6 km trek from the helicopter drop point, and for that, we will arrange a pony or porter for our yatris.
Kedarnath trek is 16 km from Gaurikund.
Yes, our tour guide will be with you at all the dhams and sightseeing places; you can coordinate with him in case of any inconvenience.
Yes, all transfers from Hotel to Helipad and Hotel at all dhams are included in the package.

Do’s of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter:

  • Carry warm garments with you as char dham places are very cold.

  • Do not carry heavy and too much luggage because there is limited space in the Chopper.

  • Don’t take a rest in the places where alerts are posted.

Yes, the Chardham Yatra is difficult, and you should be physically and mentally fit to complete this tour.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Children above two years of age are required full tickets.
  2. There is no provision regarding concession to the senior citizens and children in 4 dham yatra by helicopter. 
  3. One cab will be given by us to the six passengers wherever required.
  4. Disputes regarding the legality, application, performance of service, interpretation, or any of its terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Delhi jurisdiction.
  5. In case of adverse weather conditions and emergencies, the passenger should be taken to Dehradun by other means of transport.
  6. Even if the royalty fees change or not, the price will remain the same.
  7. Luggage of more than 5 kg will not be allowed in the helicopter as this is our safety guidelines.
  8. If the passenger is deboarded due to the wrong body weight told by him, then no money will be refundable to him.
  9. We will not bear any charges for an extra night. The customer bears the expenses of the extra night due to adverse weather conditions.
  10. Airtel and BSNL are both networks that are available in Chardham Yatra by helicopter.
  11. Carrying an Aadhar card is necessary for Indians, and for Foreigners, carrying a passport is essential.
  12. Any tips and donations are not borne by us; the client himself bears these charges.
  13. The ticket is not transferrable, and any change in the name is not allowed by us.
