Our LIH helicopters for Chardham Yatra operate between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM, subject to weather conditions, technical requirements, government permissions, and group schedules. Flight timings will be assigned at the discretion of the aviation team.
Departure and Return Location: DEHRADUN (UTTARAKHAND INDIA)
Dehradun is our main base for the CharDham Helicopter tours. It is the starting & ending point for Chardham Yatra By Helicopter.
This is the reporting day at Dehradun, which is our main base (starting & ending point).
Our LIH representatives will pick you up from Dehradun Airport / Railway station and transfer you to your hotel for complimentary night stay in Dehradun. Airport to Dehradun hotel will be an approx. 01 hour journey by road.
Note: Arrival details must be provided to LIH prior to one week of your arrival so we can arrange a smooth pick-up.
Yatris should try to reach Dehradun by 04:00 pm, or earlier so that they are completely ready to start their Chardham journey by Helicopter the next day early morning.
In the evening ~7:00 pm to 9:00 PM, our LIH team will be doing the Chardham Yatra by Helicopter tour briefing to the passengers for precautions they need to take during the tour & provide yatris with duffel bags for carrying necessary things on the trip – Upto 5kgs per person will be permitted to carry in duffel bags. Yatris are required to shift only necessary luggage in the duffel bags provided to them.

Transfer: Dehradun (Sahastradhara Helipad) ➝ Yamunotri Dham (Kharsali Helipad) Kharsali is quite little village that has two sacred ancient temples which you can visit: Shani temple & Yamuna Mata temple (Winter seat of goddess Yamuna).
The blessed Chardham Yatra will begin in the morning from the Dehradun helipad by flying to Kharsali helipad (Yamunotri Dham). Passengers will check out in the morning from the hotel and they will be picked up from the Hotel by LIH crew and taken to Sahastradhara Helipad.
Our LIH ground staff would welcome the yatris. The staff will then get the passengers settled in the waiting lounge, where the Pre-Flight briefing will be given. The yatris will then be boarded in the helicopter. After landing at Kharsali, passengers will be checked-in to hotel and then they will be taken for Yamunotri Dham Darshan. Yamunotri Dham trek is 06 km stretch one-way which will be covered by Pony or Palki whichever is available.

Transfer: Yamunotri Dham (Kharsali Helipad) ➝ Gangotri Dham (Harsil Helipad)
This day the Group will be flying from Kharsali Helipad to Harsil Helipad. In the morning yatris will check out from the hotel and departs from Kharsali to Harsil.
Harsil – The second dham of Chardham yatra by Helicopter from USA, also known for the extensive apple orchards there, is the most scenic and beautiful destination. Passengers will be taken for Gangotri Dham Darshan after breakfast or lunch, depending upon the rush at the Gangotri Dham temple. The road distance to Gangotri temple is approx. 20 km, which is roughly a 45-minute drive.
Sightseeing at Harsil: Harsil has many places & nature walks around to explore.

Transfer: Gangotri Dham(Harsil Helipad) ➝ Kedarnath Dham(Guptkashi / Sersi / Phata Helipad)
In the morning, we will drive to Harsil Helipad. On arrival, yatris will fly to Guptkashi / Sersi Helipad then again fly to Kedarnath Dham from the same Helipad. Kedarnath Dham Temple is approx. 500 meters away from helipad and will take approx. 15 mins to reach.
Kedarnath ji has three helipads – Sersi / Guptkashi / Phata and from any of these helipad shuttle services for Kedarnath Dham Shrine will operate. Passengers will be taken to Kedarnath Dham for darshan in a shuttle services flight, after their breakfast.
The shuttle services flight from Guptkashi / Sersi / Phata to Kedarnath Dham is approx. 07 minutes long.

Transfer: Kedarnath Dham(Guptkashi/ Sersi/ Phata Helipad) ➝ Badrinath Dham Helipad
Passengers will have breakfast in the morning & be ready for their flight to Badrinath Dham from Guptkashi / Sersi.
Passengers will be taken for darshan to Badrinath Dham temple in the afternoon after lunch.
Passengers will be taken from the Hotel to the Badrinath Dham temple by car.

After breakfast, while we are heading back to Dehradun, see the beautiful overview of the Region, especially the picturesque view of the valley, which is an eye-candy for nature lovers.
On arrival at Dehradun Sahastradhara Helipad, our LIH team will be present to receive the yatris. Later, they will be dropped at the Dehradun Hotel to collect the luggage from cloakrooms and we bid farewell to the passengers.

Also, the maximum capacity of a Chardham helicopter is 430 kg which does not include passenger baggage and a passenger can carry only 5 kg maximum weight with him.
Flying Chardham Yatra by Helicopter is challenging in mountainous areas, sometimes in case of bad weather, busy air traffic, and passenger illness, the helicopter may be delayed or other unforeseen events may also occur, so yatris should be prepared for any such situation. Although adequate safety gear is provided by the crew, the passengers will have to keep their preparations complete.
For all the services contracted, a certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking of Chardham yatra on a confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before you depart from your country or after your arrival to India as mutually decided between team management and guests. Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Apart from the above, in some cases, like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resort bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance (as specified in your tour proposal).
